Course Content:

Section I - "The Law" and Professional Investigations
Includes an overview of what professional investigators do, a review of the Washington State Law that regulates the private investigator profession in Washington State, and a review of pertinent federal and state laws related to the profession.

Section II - Information Sources and Research
Best information sources for professional investigators, both public and private, including databases and uses of the Internet, as well as checklists for conducting court research and background investigations.

Section III - Surveillance and Activities Monitoring
Surveillance tips and techniques for effective activities monitoring, including report writing and expectation of privacy issues.

Section IV - Civil and Criminal Trial Preparation
General courthouse terminology and procedures, witness interviewing, testifying in court, and guidelines for working with attorneys.

Refund Policy

There will be a $25 processing fee for cancellation once you have registered and paid the fee. No refunds will be given for cancellation three days or less before the day of the class. However, you will receive a credit toward attendance at a future class as long as you attend a class within one year of the class in which you originally enrolled.
